We are delighted to welcome you to The Alma Inn. luxurious hotel and corporate Accommodation, Fresco Pizzeria & Ristorante in Cottonstones, Sowerby Bridge, one of Calderdale’s finest, traditional country inns offering superb home-cooked food in our Italian restaurant, hand-pulled real ales, vast stock of Belgium beers, luxurious bed and breakfast/hotel accommodation and dramatic rural views. We also have a comedy club night on the last Saturday of every month.
The Alma is roughly 150 years old and visitors are treated to real open fires, exposed stone walls, stone-flagged floors, exposed pine beams, fine-dining, Italian restaurant and a traditional Yorkshire warm welcome.
Fabulous Food
High quality cuisine at The Alma is top priority. Informal bar meals and Pizzas are served all day from 12 noon until 5.30pm Monday to Saturday in the bar at the Alma Inn. Then our Italian restaurant next door (It has a seperate entrance) takes over "Fresco Pizzaria & Ristorante" opens from 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday "Fresco Pizzeria & Ristorante" also boasts the only wood-burning pizza oven in the region. Fresco’s is in easy reach of many local areas such as Hebden Bridge, Halifax, Elland, Luddenden Foot and Ripponden.
Divine Drink
Good food goes hand in hand with good drink at The Alma. We have an extensive range of hand-pulled real ales, a vast selection of bottled Belgium beers, an extensive wine list and varied choice of soft/non-alcoholic drinks. As well as being a fine food and drink establishment, we also have 5-luxurious en-suite bedrooms available for bed and breakfast and corporate hotel styled accommodation. The last Saturday every month we host the Cottonstones Comedy Club this started in January 2009 and has proved to be a great success. Details for this month are avalable on the home pafe of our website.So why not drop in to the comedy club night for some great ales and a belly full of laughs.
